And after six days Jesus takes with him Peter, and James, and John, and leads them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.3. And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.
1. And he arose from there, and comes into the coasts of Judaea by the farther side of Jordan: and the people resort to him again; and, as he was wont, he taught them again. ¶2. And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him.3. And he answered and said to them, What did Moses command you?
1. And when they came near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sends forth two of his disciples,2. And says to them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as you be entered into it, you shall find a colt tied, where on never man sat; loose him, and bring him.3. And if any man say to you, Why do you this? say you that the Lord has need of him; and straightway he will send him here.
1. And he began to speak to them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and dig a place for the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to farmers, and went into a far country.2. And at the season he sent to the farmers a servant, that he might receive from the farmers of the fruit of the vineyard.3. And they caught him, and beat him, and sent him away empty.
1. And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples says to him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!2. And Jesus answering said to him, See you these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone on another, that shall not be thrown down.3. And as he sat on the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,
1. After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.2. But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar of the people. ¶3. And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she broke the box, and poured it on his head.
1. And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.2. And Pilate asked him, Are you the King of the Jews? And he answering said to them, You say it.3. And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing.
1. And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.2. And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came to the sepulcher at the rising of the sun.3. And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulcher?
